The purpose of the formation is to prepare you for your experience as a Missionary. Upon acceptance to the Cagliero Project, you will attend a discernment weekend and a formation retreat prior to departing for your mission. During the discernment weekend you will meet other Cagliero Missionaries. It is also a time for you to figure out if this is the right experience for you. The focus of the formation retreat will be to prepare you for your experience overseas and to familiarise you with Salesian spirituality. After you have left for overseas you will keep in touch with the Missionary Coordinator. The MC will continue to support you while you are abroad. When you arrive home to Australia there will be a series of debriefing sessions and a re-entry Retreat.
